The way we seek permission to enter or visit a persons house has been taught to us by our beloved Prophet - sallallahu alayhe wa sallam - This lecture is pivoted around a hadeeth of the Prophet - sallallahu alayhe wa sallam-explaining the mannerism of visiting a persons house, which is to knock thrice and if no one responds, then to leave. It is a matter which was unknown to Umar - Radiallahu anhu - who demanded evidence from the sahabi, Abu Musa al-'Ash'ari as to why he left after knocking thrice. If he was unable to bring sufficient evidence, Umar would punish him severly. In this very beneficial lecture, Abu Usamah continues to enlighten the listener with the evidence Abu Musa - Radiallahu anhu - bought back and the general etiquettes that can be derived from the hadeeth.
