Global Peace and Unity Event 2006 (GPU)

The Global Peace and Unity event 2006 Inshallah will be one to remember. It is being held in London ExCel exhibition centre. London ExCel was the venue for the Global Peace and Unity event 2005 which was a great success for the organisers and all muslims at large.

Aims of the Global Peace and Unity Event

Some of aims of the Global Peace and Unity Event as stated on their website are:

 

  1. To provide a platform for entertainment and knowledge
  2. To encourage understanding and positive interaction between the Muslims and Non-Muslims.
  3. To introduce the British Muslims and Non Muslims to the true face of Islam.
  4. Dispel the myths surrounding the Islamic faith and to promote dialogue.
  5. To build bridges across faiths, communities and societies.
  6. To promote Muslim businesses, Islamic culture and art.

Organisers of th Global Peace and Unity Event

The Islam Channel is the organiser of this landmark event. The Islam Channel did an excellent job in 2005 and are expected to exceed expectations in the 2006 Global Peace and Unity Event. The Venue London ExCel Docklands

ExCel London, is an international exhibition and conference centre which is home to a vast range of events. ExCel London is situated alongside Canary Wharf and City Airport within a stunning waterfront setting. There is safe and ample parking, a convinient public transport network linking to the venue and a prestigious area surrounding this centre. At the Global Peace and Unity Event 2005 the Excel London staff impressed the guests and Muslimbase for one was impressed at their professionalism and courtesy to visitors. There is a homely welcome and politely speaking ushers all around.

For the first time in Europe there will be an exhibition of the two Holy Mosques including 'Kiswah' the cloth of the Kabah in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

Unfortunately there is some sad news that Muslimbase has to give you we are not sure but since this Nasheed artists name is not mentioned in the Global Peace Event posters he might not be attending.
