Clearly, this ayah states a command for Muslim women to wear a garment which Allah SWT has called "jilbab".The divine wisdom for instructing women to wear the jilbab mentioned in the above verse is so that women be modestly attired to make her recognizable as a Muslim women and to protect her from being harassed.
